Plan of Taiyo class carrier
Here we see a plan of an Taiyo class aircraft carrier, produced by converting a merchant ship. The wartime label of Otaka class came from a translation error. Taiyo means 'Big Eagle', but this was translated into English as 'Great Eagle', and then back into Japanese as Otaka.
