Here we see Subadar Bhagwan Singh sending a radio message to announce the capture of an enemy position to the north-west of Arezzo, during the fighting in 1944.
A picture of his medal group shows the India Star and the M.B.E. (Military) Badge. A Captain Bhagwan Singh (P.1305) of the Indian Engineers (Army Postal Services) was awarded the MBE in the New Years list of 1946, which would fit with his service in the signals.
