Here we see the only example of the Sopwith L.R.T.Tr (Long Range Tractor Triplane), an attempt to produce a large escort fighter. It's most unusual feature was the gunner's nacelle on the upper wing, designed to fire over the propeller. However fighters with synchronisation gear proved more effective, and only the prototype was built.
