Here we see a Sopwith 2F.1 Camel that has just taken off, probably from HMS Vindex, which had this shape of flight deck. This picture was probably taken in the Firth of Forth, as the island in the fog appears to be Inchmickery, which is covered with concrete structures that made it look rather like a battleship from a distance.
