11in guns on Scharnhorst in winter
Here we see the 11in guns of the Scharnhorst at some point in the winter of 1939-40. Not only are all of the fittings covered in ice, the deck appears to be covered in slush, making life uncomfortable for the sole crew man out in the cold.
