Battleship Richelieu from the left
Here we see the French battleship Richelieu after she entered Free French service in the aftermath of Operation Torch. She underwent a rapid modernisation in the United States and returned to European waters late in 1943 where she briefly served with the British Home Fleet before moving to the Far East to join the British Pacific Fleet.
