RFA Maine and HMS Wallace at Constantinople
Here we see the Hospital ship RFA Maine on the left, and the Shakespeare class destroyer leader HMS Wallace (D.20) on the right, off the Dolmahahce Palace at Constantinople. The Maine entered service in 1922, the Wallace in 1919 and both survived the Second World War. This picture probably dates to the 1920s, when the Allies had a fleet at Constantinople.
