Polish, Russian, French and Dutch refugees in the Rhineland
Here we see a mix of Polish, Russian, French and Dutch refugees being issued with German military rations somewhere in the Rhineland. One of the biggest problems faced by the Allies as they advanced into Germany were the millions of displaced people, many of them freed from work as slave labour for the Nazi regime.
