Plans of Nassau Class Dreadnought Battleships
These plans show the Nassau class battleships, the first German Dreadnoughts. They were armed with twelve 28cm (11.1in) guns carried in six twin turrets, three fore and three aft. This allowed six guns to be fired forwards or aft and eight on the broadside. This was less efficient than the layout on HMS Dreadnought, which only required five twin gun turrets to allow an eight-gun broadside.
