Plans of Minotaur Class First Class Armoured Cruisers
These plans show the Minotaur class of first class armoured cruisers, the final British armoured cruisers produced before the appearance of the all big gun battlecruiser. As with their battleship equivalents of the Lord Nelson class, they saw an increase in armament to four 9.2in guns in twin turrets, ten 7.5in guns in five single turrets on each side and sixteen 12-pounders (some carried on top of the 7.5in turrets) compared to six 9.2in, four 7.5in and 26 3-pounders on the previous Warrior class (which had seen the removal of the 6in guns carried on earlier armoured cruisers).
