US Plan of seaplane catapult ship Friesenland
This plan from a US Recognition magazine of 1944 shows the seaplane catapult ship Friesenland, built for Lufthanse to support their North Atlantic Flying Boat Service and taken over by the Luftwaffe during the Second World War. The aircraft were launched backwards over the stern, starting just behind the superstructure.
