This plan from a US Recognition magazine of 1944 shows the layout of the 1923 Type Torpedo Boat and 1924 Type Torpedo Boat, originally classified as destroyers until the more modern 1934 Type Destroyers appeared. Mowe was the first of the 1923 Types and Wolf the first of the 1924 Types, and often gave their name to the types in Allied sources.
