Here we see three Petlyakov Pe-8s from below. This was the only four engined heavy bomber operated by the USSR during the Second World War, and was a decent performer, but wasn't produced in large enough numbers to have any real impact. This picture gives some idea of its massive wing span, which at 128ft 5in was significantly more than most of its Allied contemporaries.
