Here we see plans of a Petlyakov Pe-2 twin engined bomber, one of the most flexible aircraft in Soviet service. Although the original wartime caption says this is the Pe-3 fighter variant, the turret says it is a PE-2 bomber and the glazed nose also fits with the Pe-2.

Includes very detailed sections on the development of the aircraft, as well as its combat record, potted biographies of many of the key Pe-2 pilots, and its fairly brief post-war career.
