Paratroopers boarding transports before Operation Varsity
Here we see some heavily loaded paratroops getting into one of the transport aircraft used for Operation Varsity, the airborne crossing of the Rhine of 24 March 1944. This is probably a C-47 Dakota, judging by the shape of door and position of the square windows.
