Nakajima B5N 'Kate' attacking USS Hornet
Here we see a Nakajima B5N 'Kate' attacking the USS Hornet (CV-8) at the battle of the Santa Cruz Islands (26 October 1942). The Hornet suffered several hits during the battle, including one from a burning Kate that flew into her. Attempts to save her failed, she had to be abandoned, and was sunk by the Japanese after the battle.
