Nagara Class Cruiser from the Right

Nagara Class Cruiser from the Right
Here we see a Nagara class light cruiser, a class of six constructed in 1920-23. Her age shows in the general layout of the ship, with a small bridge structure very far forward and her three funnels. In this picture the many platforms attached to her tripod masts show up clearly, as their white sides contrast with the grey of the rest of the ship. Also note the biplane floatplane carried amidships.
