Here we see the Merchant Aircraft Carrier MV Acavus, carrying a deck load of Corsairs and Vengeances. The Acavus was a Royal Dutch/ Shell oil tanker that was given a flight deck and could carry anti-submarine aircraft or a deck cargo of other aircraft, but remained under civilian control, like all of the MAC ships.
