Mountbatten visiting 36th Division, Burma
Here we see Lord Louis Mountbatten, the Supreme Allied Commander, South East Asia Command, visiting the 36th Division in Central Burma during the British reconquest of the country. Here he is seem examining a folding carbine that had been issued to the division.
