Oil Refinery at Misburg bombed, 20 June 1944
Here we see smoke billowing from the Deureg-Nerag crude oil refinery at Misburg near Hamburg, which was bombed on 20 June 1944 by 169 B-24s. This was mission no.425 for the Eighth Air Force. On the same day the force's B-17s carried out an even larger raid on Hamburg and a raid on Magdeburg.
