General McCreery at Terni
Here we see General McCreery talking to an officer from the Royal Engineers at Terni, north of Rome, which fell to the Allies on 14 June, during the advance to the Albert Line. At the time McCreery was commander of 10th Corps in the Eighth Army, but late in 1944 he took over as commander of the Eighth Army.
