Finch and Brackley in front of Martin Baltimore

The original caption records that this is Bill Finch and 'Brackley' standing in front of Martin Baltimore IV (FA518) at Mombasa in May 1946. The aircraft was from the Anti-Malarial Flight, which explains the 'Bug Boy's' name! The position of the two men rather exaggerates the size of the air intake above the port engine! The aircraft's serial number is seen in other pictures from the same collection.

Many thanks to Michael Hopkins for sending us these pictures, which came from his father's collection, and came towards the end of his RAF service, which lasted from August 1941 to November 1946.
