The original caption records that this picture showing the 'mixing boys', standing in front of Martin Baltimore IV (FA518) of the Anti-Malarial Flight at Tabora in modern Tanzania in March 1946. What they were mixing isn't stated, but presumably it would have been fuel or oil or something similar.
Many thanks to Michael Hopkins for sending us these pictures, which came from his father's collection, and came towards the end of his RAF service, which lasted from August 1941 to November 1946.
