Extract from the Log Book of Air Gunner Shenton of No.296 Squadron for the period 8-17 March 1944, kindly provided by his son Garry.

This page records two Albemarle operations to drop sabouters into occupied France - near Le Mans and the other near St. Louis. This second sortie must have been close to maximum range, for the aircraft landed with ten minutes petrol remaining!
