Extract from the Log Book of Air Gunner Shenton of No.296 Squadron for the period 1-22 October 1943, kindly provided by his son Garry.
This page records an elaborate Albemarle operation split into three seperate movements - first from the squadron's base to Bari, then the actual operation - to drop ten paratroops and four containers at Viesta (probably Viesta, just over sixty miles up the coast from Bari).
