General Leclerc in Rambouillet
Here we see General Leclerc (left), commander of the French 2nd Armoured Division, in Rambouillet, just outside Paris on 24 August 1944. Leclerc accepted the surrender of General Choltitz, commander of the German garrison of Paris, on the following day.
