Here we see the view from the deck of a Landing Ship, Tank, as it approached Tanahmerah Bay, one of the US targets during the invasion of Hollandia on New Guinea. This view gives a good idea of just how many men and how much equipment could be carried on one of these massive landing craft, with much more below decks!
