This British wartimne plan shows the general layout of the Junkers Ju 288C-2, if it was powered by the Daimler Benz DB 610 engine. The Ju 288 was a generally unsuccesful entry in the 'Bomber B' contest, let down by the lack of suitable engines. The C series was designed to use the DB 606, a coupled power plant made up of two DB 601s linked to drive a single propeller. This engine was largely to blame for the failure of the He 177. The DB 610 was a similar coupled power plant based on the DB 605, and was used in the more successful later versions of the He 177, but doesn't appear to have been installed in a Ju 288 before the project was cancelled.
