Captured Junkers Ju 88A-4 at Collyweston

Here we see Junkers Ju 88A-4 EE205 back in German colours after having fallen into British hands when her crew landed at Broadfield Down near Bristol after a night raid on Birkenhead on 23-24 July 1941. The aircraft had been 4D-Dl of 3/ KG 30, but in British hands it was given the serial number EE205 and joined No.1426 (Enemy Aircraft Circus) Flight at Collyweston, Northampton. The A-4 can be identified from this angle by the bulged fairings under the engines, which weren't present on the earlier A-1 and A-5. The aircraft was repainted with British markings for its normal work, but this picture shows it back in German markings for film work.
