This view of the turbine powered C class destroyer HMS Velox comes from Page's Magazine of 1902, the year in which she was launched. This might have been one of her high speed trials, as she is going so fast that the tip of her bows have actually lifted out of the water, and the 12-pounder gun that should be on the bridge platform can't be seen.
