Jarrett and Phillips of HMS Minerva, 1918

Here we see officers Jarrett and Phillips of the Eclipse class cruiser HMS Minerva, photographed in 1918, probably when she was operating along the east coast of Africa. Cdr Phillips joined the ship in March 1918, and is probably the splendidly named Owen Tudor Hood Phillips (the best candidate to be the Commander Tudor H. Phillips who signed some of her 1918 logs). Lieutenant Commander Charles B. Jarrett joined on 19 November 1917 and was the ship's acting paymaster in December 1918.
