Side view of HMS Fishguard
Here we see the Banff class sloop HMS Fishguard, originally built as the US Coast Guard Lake class cutter USCGC Tahoe, and given to the Royal Navy in 1941 as part of the lend lease agreement. During her coast guard service she had been based in the Bering Sea, while with the Royal Navy she served in the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Indian Ocean, and took the surrender of U-852.
