HMS Activity from above
Here we see the escort carrier HMS Activity viewed from the air. She had been laid down as a merchant ship, taken over for use as a military transport and completed as an escort carrier. Unlike most similar conversions, the sides of the hull merged into the flight deck, making her look more like a fleet carrier than most escort carriers.
