HMS Acheron from the left

Here we see the Thornycroft special Acheron class destroyer HMS Acheron from the left. The Thornycroft ships were similar in appearance to the standard Admiralty type, but were a few feet longer. From this angle the two torpedo tubes can just be made out, in their position behind the rear funnel.
