HMAS Warrego with survivors from HMS Phoenix
Here we see the River class destroyer HMAS Warrego carrying survivors from HMS Phoenix to safety in Albania. The Phoenix was torpedoed by the Austro-Hungarian submarine U-27 early in the day, and sank at 13.10 despite attempts by a local trawler and the Warrego to tow her to safety.
