HMAS Parramatta being launched, Glasgow, 1910

Here we see the Australian River class destroyer HMAS Parramatta being launched at Fairfield's Govan shipyard in 1910, on the south bank of the Clyde, west of Glasgow city centre. Note the framework around her bridge, which would be used for its canvas screen.
