Heinkel He 177A-5 in British Hands
Here we see Heinkel He 177A-5 F8-AP of 6./KG 40, which was captured on the Toulouse-Blagnac airfield in September 1944. It was repainted with British markings (including invasion stripes!) and given the serial TS439 and was then tested by the Royal Aircraft Establishment.
