Grand Slam 22,000lb bomb
This picture makes it clear just how vast the 22,000lb Grand Slam bomb really was. This was Barnes Wallis's largest bomb and the nearest he came to his ideal 'earthquake' bomb - the size was right, but it couldn't be dropped from as high as he wanted.
