Gotha Go 242 from the Right
From this angle the Gotha Go 242 glider looks a rather stubby, small aircraft, but it could take 23 fully laden soldiers - in comparison the DFS 230 could only carry nine! Access was either by the door in the side seen here, or via the tail, which could lift up to allow easy access.
