British Troops enter Giovanni Berta, December 1941
Here we see Sikh troops (probably from the 11th Sikh Regiment, 7th Indian Infantry Brigade, 4th Indian Infantry Division) entered Giovanni Berta, on the inland road to the west of Derna, during the advance in the aftermath of Operation Crusader. Giovanni Berta was an early Italian fascist, and the town of Al Qabah in Libya was named after him.
