Giordano Paolo Guerra

Giordano Paolo Guerra

This picture shows Giordano Paolo Guerra (centre), a member of the Italian Navy. He was wounded during the Second Battle of Sirte, and more seriously at Benghazi, where he was wounded by a grenade and initially left for dead. He was rescued in time and returned to Italy on a hospital ship heading to the Military Hospital in Milan where he received painful but effective medical treatment. This left him partially paralyzed for some time, but he eventually recovered and emigrated to Venezuela. This picture shows him after the medical treatment in Milan
