Germans surrender to M3 Half Track
Here we see a German surrendering to an M3A1 half-track as the Americans enter Geisselhardt, a village to the north-east of Stuttgart. The M3 can be identified by the flat rear, which opened to give easy access to the vehicle. The M3A1 had raised gun mount for the .50in machine gun at the front and could take extra guns inside the fighting compartment.
