German Column retreating on Eastern Front, 1944
Here we see a column of German troops retreating somewhere on the Eastern Front, probably in 1944. Note the horse drawn transport to the right, a reminder that the German army relied to a surprising extent on horses despite its reputation for being a modern mechanized force.
