George VI and Lord Lovat inspecting Commandos
Here we see George VI and and Lord Lovat inspecting some of the Commandos
who were soon about to take part in the D-Day landings. This picture was taken a day or two before the landings, which saw Lovat become famous for leading his men to Pegasus Bridge and for taking his piper into action.
