French Dragoon greets Belgian guard, 1914
Here we see a last glimpse of the old military order that was about to be overthrown in 1914, as a French Dragoon, complete with metal helmet, is greeted by a Belgian picket in an equally obsolete uniform, early in the French advance into Belgium.
