Four Free French Cruisers return to Toulon, 1944
Here we see four Free French cruisers returning to Toulon after it was liberated by the Allies in the summer of 1944. Emile Bertin is in the lead, followed by Duguay-Trouin and two members of the La Galissonniere class. One will have been Georges Leygues, which returned flying the flag she was flying when she left Toulon in 1940.
