French-Canadian troops in Emmerich, 1945
Here we see French-Canadian troops entering the factory district of Emmerich, a smaller industrial city on the Rhine. Emmerich was one of the targets for the Allied oil campaign and was badly damaged by heavy bombers late in 1944.
