Setting up Central Sick Quarters, Udine (1 of 3)

Part one of the instructions for setting up a new Central Sick Quarters at Udine (Italy). This sets out the size of the new Sick Quarters (sixty beds, Theatre, X-Ray, Resuscitation, Dispensary and Laboratory Departments) and lists in some detail the personnel to be moved to the new location, going as far as the four cooks.

Many thanks to Peter Claydon for sending us these pictures, which belonged to his father, C.W.J. Claydon, who spent much of the war serving as a medical officer with No.120 Squadron at Ballykelly, Northern Ireland.
