Ferrying Jeeps across the Oise
Here we see American jeeps being ferried across the River Oise, which rises in Belgium and flows west into France, joining the Seine north of Paris. This picture was taken as the Americans advanced north from Rheims and the Aisne. In the background we see a partly destroyed bridge which appears not to have delayed the Allied river crossing.
