This picture of a British escort carrier was taken in the Bay of Biscay in 1944 from the carrier HMS Campania. A Hellcat and a Seafire can be seen on deck, prepared to provide air cover. One of the carriers was carrying a load of Seafires from Belfast to Gibraltar.
